LOS ANGELES, CA – June 1st was a remarkable day filled with joy, community spirit, and philanthropy as Chics Helping Inner City Adolescents hosted an impactful event at the Los Angeles Mission. With the generous support of our donors and volunteers, we proudly served over 350 delicious hamburgers and distributed 200 essential hygiene kits to the vibrant Skid Row community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible donors: U-haul, Albertsons’, Superior Grocer, Aldi Grocers, and Smart and Final. Your contributions were pivotal in making this event a resounding success. A special thank you also goes out to Difference Shades of Women, a local non-profit, and local businesses Westside Road Service and Shaw Auto Dispatch for volunteering their time and energy. Your commitment to supporting our community is truly inspiring.
The atmosphere was electric, with the community overwhelmingly happy and excited. Warm meals and a sense of togetherness go a long way in fostering hope and resilience. This event not only provided essential resources but also reinforced the power of community and compassion.
We are immensely proud of what we achieved together and are excited to continue our mission of uplifting and supporting inner-city adolescents. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this day unforgettable. Together, we are making a meaningful difference, one act of kindness at a time.
